Donggan Ironic Literature in CentralAsia and Russian Ironic
Literary Tradition

Abstract:Donggan is the descendantofHui immigrants in northwestChina at the end of theQing dynasty. Afterentering into the CentralAsia region,Donggan ethnic group remolded its culture by accepting the surrounding national culture,mainly Russian culture,in the cultural aspect. Donggan ironic literature referenced from theRussian ironic literature in the aspects of ironic subject and artistic technique,absorbed the gene ofRussian realistic social criticizing tradition,thus achieved certain
artistic height,and expanded the domain ofDonggan literature. The reasonwhyDonggan ironic literature is prosperous is because ofboth the influence Russian ironic literature and Donggan writer’s cultural consciousness.
