Hawaii is a wonderful place! I’m here with my parents for two weeks. We have a hotel that is right on the ocean, so I’ve been spending all of my days on the beach.. I’ve have to wear shoes 75 I’ve been here!
Oh, before I forgot to mention it, I’ve been learning how to ride a surfboard! You can rent(租)surfboards from a hut on the beach. You can also take surfing lessons. I’ve found that so far the most 76 part about surfing is balancing on the surfboard. You have to lie down on the board first. I thought it would be very easy, but for me the board keeps 77 in the water. It’s harder to control than it looks. After you lie on the board, you use it to swim further out to sea. About twenty metres from the shore, you turn the surfboard around and wait for a wave. When a wave comes, you have to move with it on your surfboard and catch it. A t first, I wasn’t swimming quickly enough and I couldn’t 78 any waves. After many attempts, I finally managed to catch a wave and I rode it all the way back to the beach. It was great! Of course, I was still lying on the 79 the whole day. Even though I’ve been trying for a few days now, I still can’t stand on the board. I guess I need more practice. Still ,to be honest, 80 lying down, surfing is great fun .Well, Mumis calling, so I’ve to go. I wish you were here surfing with me. Take care. Yours, Steve

Extreme Journeys Lazy Chair
I got the idea to build a motorized armchair when Mum and Dad bought new furniture for the living room. Dad got really bad-tempered when he was moving the heavy, old furniture. He said,“Armchairs should have wheels, then they could drive away by themselves.” So I suggested that we give it some wheels. This is what we came up with:
1. We got the wheels from an old wheelchair.
2. We used the engne from my brother’s old bicycle.
3. Dad said we had to think about safety, too. So we fitted two headlights-one on each arm-and a
sea belt from an old car.
4. I said we also had to think about fun: so we added a stereo system and a cup holder for cups
of soda, like you see in movie theatres.
5. The armchair is made of boring black leather, so I decided to decorated it . I painted the logo
of my favorite band on one side. And a picture of sloths(懒猴) on the other side, because they’re really lazy and this is the laziest armchair ever!
Dad tested the chair in our backyard. It’s quite fast. I can travel at up to 25 kilometres an hour! I can’t wait to take it on an extreme journey. But Dad says I have to wait until I’m old enough to get a driver’s license. Oh, well, not long now……
