Activity 1 Look at the position of comma in the sentences. Ask students to make a conclusion
about how to use the commas.

What is a good teacher I don?t think there is one answer only to this important
questions because good teachers can be strict kind lively quiet amazing or serious however there are some things that a good teacher must do for example he or she must plan his or her lessons carefully and must explain things clearly if not students will have problems also it ?s very important for teachers to have discipline in the class don?t you think so finally a good teacher needs to like his students and enjoy teaching I believe that ?s very important
Task 3 Writing of My Favourite Teachers Activity 1 Ask Ss to read the passages ---My New Teachers again and let students to think from
what aspects we can make the description of the teachers. And ask them to discuss with each other and collect as many expressions as possible.
Activity 2 Let students write their own works individually within 15-20 minutes. Activity 3 Peer-checking and presentation
Now change the finished writing with your partner
Try to improve the writing according to the following:
Are you clear with the writer?s expressions about the teachers?
Are there any good connecting words or good sentences? Please underline them. Are there any spelling mistakes? Please correct them.

1. The students can hardly really learn grammar by the teacher teaching them. I will show the sample sentences, get the students to read the passage and discover the similar sentences. Then I will ask them to study the sentences and help them find out the grammar rules themselves. Give the students more chances to practise reading them. That?s the way of learning grammar.
2. Give the students another one or two passage to read so that they can recognize the sentences with the kind of grammar they?ve just learned and then give them chances to practise using them.
3. In writing, the first important thing is to guide the students to know the way of writing a passage—that is how a passage should be developed. It is also quite important to help students to appreciate and correct their peers? works, and it is a good way for self-improvement. .

T: Usually, when we finish a module, we do some revision, then we start a new module.
We also do revision before an exam. How much revision do you do before an exam? There is some translation from English to Chinese in the book so that you can understand it more easily. But, while learning English, you needn?t always have word-to-word translation from English to Chinese…….
Activity 2 Learning by using---Ask Ss to do Ex 1 on page 15 in pairs.
