important reasons is that English teachers in college only speak English in English class, most students could not understand. So they lose interest in English and they give up English. To solve this problem the best way is to use body language to help the students understand and to arouse their interest in English. For example, now many English teachers in university do not just teach the book only, they always design some games which are helpful in understanding the knowledge and invite the students to take part in. Another reason why body language be used in college is that almost every college has foreign teachers. Foreign teachers prefer using body language and facial expressions, sometimes they even use exaggerated body language and facial expressions during class, in relaxed language learning environment, the students’ language proficiency will get promoted quickly. Foreigners have different culture background with us, so sometimes we will have some difficulties in communicating with them. However, with the help of body language misunderstanding will be less. Thus body language helps students more easily, more profound understanding of teaching contents and communicate with foreign teachers.

Conclusion
We already knew that body language is an important tool we could use for communication with each other. People can communicate with one another not only through verbal communication, but also through nonverbal communication, moreover, the latter plays an essential role. Body language is an important part of nonverbal communication. It is known as nonverbal behavior which transmits information through gestures, movement and facial expression. People communicate with each other by their body language in the ways of nodding, eye contacting, shrugging and so on. Not only in daily communication, body language plays an important role in English teaching. Firstly, it can help students learn English easier, more efficient. For example, with the help of body language students can master new words faster and can understand texts more profoundly. Secondly, teachers use body language when they are teaching, which will arouse the students interest in learning English. Furthermore, body language could be used in helping the four skills of English (speaking, reading, listening, and writing). Besides, teachers use body language in teaching English in all the process of teaching English.
Researches indicate that relationship between the teachers and the students will be improved if teachers know how to effectively use body language. Moreover, the students’cognitive ability and study efficiency will be improved. A successful English teacher not only uses verbal language, but also appeals to gesture, facial expression, sight language and so on in order to get the best teaching effect. Therefore, body language is becoming more and more important.
