they are both medium-sized cities of between 600,000 and 700,000 inhabitants, which both have universities and industries. Tourism is especially important to both of them and they are both close to the broad sea with many beautiful tourist attractions, such as Dalian Ocean Park, Bird Singing Woods, the Wuyi Mountains and Gulangyu Island in Xiamen and at the same time they are modern cities with high buildings, too. Every summer tourists are pouring in and out of the two cities, making the cities too crowded. And honestly speaking, this disturbs the life of inhabitants.
