以数词表达的成语、谚语在英汉两种语言中似乎也不少。但数字往往不是对等的。例如：Before his marriage, his room was often at sixes and sevens. 结婚前，他的房间总是乱七八糟的。(不是“乱六乱七”)
She is a beautiful girl in a thousand. 她是一个百里挑一的美丽姑娘。(不是“千里挑一”) Why do you always come at the eleventh hour and keep everyone waiting for you? 为什么
