课题:Module 3 Unit2 Where is the library?
教材分析:本模块以学校为中心,展开以询问并回答学校及教室内外的情况为主的活动;本单元是整个教学模块的第二单元。在第一单元中,已经对“There be ”句型进行了详细的讲授,学生已经掌握了“There be ”句型,基数词。第二单元则进行进一步的强化和训练,同学学习方位介词。这节课的重点是运用“There be”句型的肯定句,否定句,疑问句及方位介词介绍自己的学校和班级。
设计理念:根据中学《英语课程标准》的要求,改变过去的传统的以重视语法的讲解,忽视对学生运用语言能力的培养的模式。倡导以学生为中心,让学生多说,多练,多思考,多动,让学生乐于说英语,用英语。
教学方法:参与,合作,交流的任务型教学。
教学目标:1. 知识目标: There be句型的肯定句,否定句,一般疑问句;地点,方位介词及短语。In , on ,at ,behind, in front of, next to 2.能力目标:能用所学句型描述自己的教室,学校。询问和介绍有关学校教室的位置。
3. 情感目标:培养热爱学校,热爱自己家园的意识。
教学重难点:重点:本课时的词汇和介词短语,以及There be句型。 难点:对介词短语的运用。 教学过程: Step1 warming up
First let the students see a video. 1 T:what can you see in the video? S1:I can see a dining hall. S2:Ican see a gym. S3:Ican see a classroom .

出示一张学校的图片 (gym ,science lab, office, classroom., library, dining hall)

Is there a gym/library in the school? Yes, there is .
Is there a playground in the school? No,there isn’t.
Are there any offices/classrooms? Yes, there are.
Are there any science labs? No,there aren’t. 继续问学生:
Where is the dining hall?
It’s next to the gym. (用到了next to) Where are the offices?
The are behind the classrooms.(用到了behind) Where is the science lab?
It is in front of the offices.(用到了in front of)
(老师引导学生运用there be 句型的肯定,否定形式,同时引出方位介词。通过上面的问答学生理解了“behind, in front of, next to”的用法。 ) Step3 个体活动。
1. 让学生说出自己在班级的位置,
I’m next to Lingling. I’m behind Lingling 2. 说出其他同学在班级的位置。
Lingling is in front of Daming. Lingling is behind Tony. Step4 生生互动,合作学习
让4位同学站到讲台上排好队,其他同学描述这4位同学的位置;
其他同学造句,这4位同学依据指令排队。
(小组轮流,依据学生掌握介词短语的用法增加或减少活动的次数。)
