Boys and girls , Good morning! I?m very glad to stand here and give you a short speech. today my topic is “Life”. I hope you will like it.
Man?s life is a process of growing up, actually I?m standing here is a growth. If a person?s life must constituted by various choices, then I grow up along with these choices. Once I hope I can study in a college in future, however that?s passed, as you know I come here, now I wonder what the future holds for (= what will happen to) me.When I come to this school, I told to myself: this my near future, all starts here. Following I will learn to become a man, an integrated man, who has a fine body, can take on important task, has independent thought, an open mind, intensive thought, has the ability to judge right and wrong, has a perfect job.
Once my teacher said :” you are not sewing, you are stylist; never forget which you should lay out to people is your thought, not craft.” I will put my personality with my interest and ability into my study, during these process I will combine learning with doing. If I can achieve this “future”, I think that I really grow up. And I deeply believe kindred, good-fellowship and love will perfection and happy in the future.
How to say future? Maybe it?s a nice wish. Lets make up our minds, stick to it and surely well enjoy our life.
Two Heads Are Better Than One

Hello, everyone! I am Chai Yun from Class 11, Grade 7. Today I am going to tell you a story called “Two heads are better than one”. I am sure you can learn something from it. One day, an elephant met a monkey. “Look, how big and strong I am!” the elephant said. “I can break a tree, can you break a tree?” “Look, how quickly I can run and climb!”said the monkey.“Can you climb a tree?”
The elephant was very proud because he was so strong, and the monkey was also proud because he was so quick. But which is better, to be strong or to be quick? They didn?t know.
“The rabbit will tell us. Let?s go to her .”said the monkey. And they went to the rabbit and said.“Tell us what you think about it. Which is better, to be strong or to be quick?” The rabbit said to them, “Do what I tell you, and then you will see which is better. Do you see that big apple tree across the river? Go and pick some apples for me.”So the elephant and the monkey went to the river. The river was so deep and the monkey was afraid to swim.
“I can carry you ,” said the elephant. “I?m big and strong so I?m not afraid to swim.” The monkey sat down the elephant?s back, and they swam to the bank. Elephant tried to pick apples from it, but the apples were too high, so he can?t reach them.
“I can climb up the tree.”said the monkey. He climbed up the tree and threw some apples to the ground. The elephant picked them up. Then they gave some apples to the rabbit. “Now tell us.”they said.“Which is better, to be strong or to be quick?”

“How can I tell you which is better?”answered the rabbit.“You, elephant, you, monkey, you couldn?t get the apples without anyone. Everybody has his own good points. But two heads are better than one.”

My dream

Good morning, dear teachers and close friends. It?s my honor to stand here and share my dreams with you today. Before my speech, please allow me to introduce myself to you. My name?s ChenFanjing, I?m from Class 12, Grade7. You know , I have lots of dreams that have gone along with time, my dreams always change in different times. I once wanted to be a policeman or a soldier, but now, I really want to be an artist. I believe I can realize it.
At the beginning, I tell myself to realize my dream no matter how hard it is, everyone knows there is nothing difficult if you insist it
If I become an artist, I?ll use my brush to paint this beautiful world, I want to paint the blue sky, white cloud, green mountains and many other beautiful things. Of course, I also hope everyone will buy my pictures, so that I can make a lot of money. Then I will build the biggest school where all the poor children can go to school like others. At the same time, the children who got help, have to study hard in order to build our country in the future. So I know I must work hard and get more knowledge from now on. I believe I can do that because it is nothing difficult for me if I try my best! I trust myself, I?ll never give up!

The cat and his oilcake（油饼）

Hello, I`m Dai Pinyue from Class 13 Grade 7, Do you know the story 《The cat and his oilcake 》?
There is a little cat. He is very very lazy. He can?t wash his face or eat by himself. The mother cat says: “My son, You are old enough to learn some skills.” But he says: “I can?t. I?m still young.”
One day, his mother has to go out. And she won?t be back until the next day, So the little cat is at home alone（单独）. What can it do? He can do nothing. The mother cat thinks hard and gets a good idea. She makes a very big oilcake for her son. Then she hangs (挂)it around his neck for him to eat . Then mother leaves. The little cat sleeps very soon. And he begins to snore(打鼾).
A mouse comes out and wants to find some food. suddenly he hears the snores. He looks up and finds the sleeping cat. He is very afraid. He is going to run away when(这时) suddenly he smells the delicious oilcake. “How sweet it smells!” the mouse says to himself. And he wants to eat it very much. Then he goes up to the cat quietly. The little cat opens his eyes for a while. He see something walking to him. It has a pointed（尖的）mouth, small ears and silver（银色的） hairs and a long tail（尾巴）. The cat asks: “Who are you?” The mouse is very frightened at first, but then he

closes his eyes quickly and thinks: “The other cats are busy catching us. But this one is just sleeping . What a lazy and foolish（笨的）cat! Now I?ll play a trick on him: “ I … I … I?m your good friend. I come to catch mice together with you.” The little cat turns over and says: “I can?t do that. I just want to sleep.” Then he closes his eyes and sleeps again. The mouse is surprised and happy. He begins to enjoy the oilcake on the cat?s neck. After eating, he can?t help singing: “I?m lucky and meet a lazy cat, Oh what a lucky day!” The cat sleeps till at last he wakes up. Now he is hungry and he wants to eat the oilcake. But there is not any oilcake any more, but he is so hungry. So he cries: “Mum…, mum …”.
Just then, mother cat comes home. She sees the cat crying and asks: “My child, why are you crying?”
“I?m hungry!”
Mum says: “ You have eaten the big oilcake, you can?t be so hungry.” “I didn?t eat it and I can?t find it now.” “But who comes here?” Mum asks.
The little cat remembers and says: “ A little thing does, It has pointed mouth, small ears, silver hairs and a long tail. He says he is my good friend.”
Mum says : “How foolish you are! That is a mouse. The oilcake must have been eaten by him. You don?t learn anything. Now you must try to learn hard.”
After that, the little cat isn?t lazy any more. He learns to catch mice with his mum every day. And he catches the mouse who stole his oilcake.

Hi, I`m Lixiang from Class 14 Grade 7, We know everyone likes the rainbow because it`s colourful and beautiful, but one day the colours of the world have a quarrel.（争吵）
Green says：“I am the sign（标志）of life and of hope, I am chosen for grass, trees, leaves----without me, all the animals would die. So I am the most important.”
Blue stops her and says：“Look at the sea and the sky, Can anything live without water ? Without me, you would all be nothing.”
Yellow says：“I bring happiness and warmth(温暖) into the world , Without me there would be no fun .”
Orange shouts ：“I am the colour of health and I am so beautiful .”
Red is very worried ,She shouts out ：“I am the ruler of all of you----I am the blood .without me, the earth would be empty(空的) like the moon .”
Purple stands up ,She is very tall and speaks loudly:“People do not question me---they all listen to me .”
Finally indigo（青色）speaks：“Think of me. I am the sign of deep water. People can?t leave me.”
The colours quarrel and quarrel, Suddenly there comes a thoundbolt(迅雷) .The colours are all very frightened(害怕)，they stop quarreling at once and get close to each other for help , and a long colorful bow appears in the sky , they become very strong…
Do you want to be “the most colorful rainbow”? Be friendly to your friends , learn form them and help each other , I believe you will be the strongest rainbow too.

A terrible shopping

Today is sunny. My mother and I go shopping.
We get to a supermarket and choose something we need. Bananas are my favorite fruit, so I buy some. I don?t have any notebooks, so I also buy some.
My mother buys some vegetables, meat and fish. She says, “I am going to cook a big dinner for you!” I am very happy and look forward to eating the big dinner. I think that is very nice.
At last we pay for them. “thirty-six yuan.” The casher says. Mum looks for money in her pocket. “Oh where?s my purse? I lost it!” she shouts. “Maybe you left it home.” I say.
Oh, what a terrible shopping!

Good morning ,dear teachers and classmates. I?m Fang Hongyi from Class 17 Grade 7.Today I?m very happy to make a speech here. My topic is “ I Love English !”
As everyone knows, English is very important today. It has become the most common language on the Internet and for international trade. If we can speak English well, we will have more chances to succeed. So more and more people have begun to learn it.
As for me, I learn English not only because of its importance and its usefulness, but because of my love for it. Learning English makes me confident and brings me great pleasure. When I was a child, my mother often told me English stories. This unfolded a wonderful fairy world before my eyes. From then on, I came to love English. Now when I read English following the tapes, I can feel the confident from my words. When I watch English cartoons, I can feel the pleasure which is different from Chinese cartoons. When I write English , I can see the beauty which is not the same as our Chinese...
I love English. It gives me a colorful dream. I hope I can travel around the world one day. I want to go to
America. I also want to go to London .If I can ride my bike in Cambridge University, how happy I?ll be!
I hope I can make friends with many people from different countries. I'll introduce China to them, such as the Great Wall, the Forbidden City and the Summer
