Kids from beginners to advanced (高级的) artists and performers aged 8 to 16 from around the world come to Long Lake Summer Overnight Arts Camp. They come to explore all forms of fine arts and performing arts. The natural beauty of the Adirondack Park in New York inspires you along with other artists and performers from around the world. You design your perfect summer arts camp schedule every day, choosing from fine arts, dance, theater, rock bands, music, film and fun land and water sports. The choice is always yours.
There are three buildings offering kids fine arts with 16 studios and 25 artists inspiring you at camp all summer. Long Lake Camp for the Arts is the most amazing arts camp in the world for boys and girls to express themselves and share their creativity with the world. We are one of only two camps on earth to offer so many choices and employ so many great fine arts teachers.
Our two-story Fine Arts Facility is open all day and we have special evening classes for our most hard-working artists. It has both inside and beautiful outdoor working areas. Since you create your own schedule, you can spend all day or one period making art; it's your choice and you can change your schedule daily if you like. We make it easy for you to take your ideas from studio to studio creating your own portfolio (作品集) of artwork. We also have buildings for our photography studio.

Everyone has seen some young kids with music playing through their earbuds (耳塞), or girls rapidly writing messages on their phone. The youth of today are often addicted (沉迷于) to technological advancement whether through cell phones, gaming systems, or MP3 players. But are these technological advancements a good thing?
Technology has a negative influence on us because it separates (把……隔开) individuals from reality. The iPod is one example. “For some people, the main attraction of the iPod is that it catches you so that you do not have to deal with the uncontrollable factors of everyday life，” writes Krystle Song on her website, a student from the University of California.
The ability for people to surround themselves with the familiar by using their iPod is attractive because it rarely provides the listener with something unexpected
or unknown. However, it can be argued that this is a bad thing. If we do not have to face reality by experiencing new things, making personal relationships, and solving problems, we will never be able to function as adults.
Some argue that the Internet has a positive effect on social communication because it allows us to develop friendships online. However, the ability to meet people through chat rooms and other services is actually negative. There are dangerous people on the Internet who are a threat to young people. While some people think that the Internet can build openness, self-confidence, and a great sense of comfort, it can also provide opportunities for those who are too depressed to lead a social life in the real world. It is extremely unhealthy to make and keep all of your social communication online. We won't be positively influenced by communicating through a computer screen if we already do not have the self-confidence to socially communicate in reality.
I believe the advancement of technology has negatively affected our social communication because it separates us from what is happening around us, prevents communication, and spreads the concept of immediate satisfaction. Society must be able to use technology while not allowing it to prevent social communication, particularly for those who are easily influenced during teenage years.
