1. 香格里拉位于神奇而美丽的彩云之南（云南）迪庆藏族自治州。1997年9月14日，经过数十位专家、学者的考察、踏勘和资料察证,云南省人民政府召开新闻发布会，向世界宣布“香格里拉在迪庆”。 世人为之震惊。迪庆为中国10个藏族自治州之一，是世人寻觅已久的人间仙境——香格里拉和世界自然遗产“三江并流”的标志性腹心地。
Shangri-la is located in the beautiful and mysterious Diqing Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture in the south of Yunnan Province. According to several experts and reference, on September 14th 1997, the Government of Yunnan declared to the world “Shangri-la is in Diqing”. It was astonished. Diqing is one of the ten Tibetan Autonomous Prefectures in China, it is a eager fair land -- symbolic central part of the world heritage of “Three Rivers Interrogated” and Shangri-la.
2. 香格里拉，是迪庆藏语，意为“心中的日月”。它源于唐宋时期建置的“月光城”和“日光城”，日月两城遥相辉映，千古流传，成为佳话。“香格里拉”这一词，最早出现在英国人詹姆斯的小说《消失的地平线》，詹姆斯〃希尔顿在此小说中，首次描绘了一个远在东方群山峻岭之中的永恒和平宁静之地“香格里拉”。 Shangri-la, in Tibetan, is “the sun and the moon in the heart”. It went back to “the city of moon light” and “the city of sun light” built in Tang Dynasty. They shone together and these became famous. The word of Shangri-la appeared in The Lost Horizon, which was written by James. Hilton. He described long lasting and quiet place lying in the remote eastern mountains forests---- Shangri-la.
3. 句型： Х是х：This structure is used in a clause of concession. It is always followed with “但是、可是、就是”. For example: 它是中国的“伊甸园”。

爱米：我正在看詹姆斯〃希尔顿的长篇小说《失去的地平线》呢！

LíuHuá:Yā!“shìqù de dìpíngxìan”:Xiānggélǐlā,tā shì zhōngguó de “yīdìanyuán”。Tā
bùduān shì zhōngguó de XiāngGéLǐLā,érqiǎn shì shìjìe de XiāngGéLǐLā。
爱米：是啊！您怎么知道的？

刘华：我曾经去过香格里拉。您想去吗？
LíuHuá:Wǒ céngjīng qùguò Xiānggélǐlā。Nín xǐang qù mā?

刘华：那好，就让我们的对话走进香格里拉吧。怎么样？
LíuHuá:Nàhǎo,jìu rang wǒmen de duìhuà zǒujìn Xiānggélǐlā ba。Zěnme yàng?
爱米：那太棒了！开始吧。
AīMi: Nàtaì bàng le!kāishǐ ba.
刘华：那里，有雪山环抱中的神秘峡谷；有金字塔般的雪峰、蓝色的湖
泊、宽阔的草原，还有喇嘛寺、尼姑庵、道观、清真寺和天主教堂。人与大自然和谐相生，人们共同在那里生息繁衍。
LíuHuá: Nàli,yǒu xǔeshān huánbòo zhōng de shénmì xiágǔ;yǒu jīnzìtǎ bān de
xǔefēng、lánsè de húpo、kuānkùo de cǎoyúan,hái yǒu nǎma sì、nígu'ān、dào guàn、qīngzhēnsì hé tiānzhǔjiàotáng。Rén yú dàzìrán héxié xiàngshēng,rén men gòngtóng zaì nàlǐ shēng xīfányán。

爱米：太好了！景色真迷人！那么，我什么时候去最适合？
AīMi: Taìhaǒle!jǐngsè zhēn mírén!nàme,wǒ shénme shíhou qù zuìshìhé?
刘华：香格里拉最美的时候在5、6月份。她就像一位少女，进入她一
生最青春的花季。她真是花的海洋。光是杜鹃，种类就达200多种。
LíuHuá: Xiānggélǐlā zuì meǐde shíhou zaì wǔ、lìu yùe fèn. Tā jìu xìang yīweì shòo
nǚ,jìn rù tā yīshēng zuì qīngchūn de huājì。Tā zhēnshìhuāde haǐyáng.guāng shì dùjuān,zhǒng leì jìu dá 200 zhǒng。
爱米：啊！太美了！“香格里拉”，真是一个美丽动听的名字。我今年就去！
AīMi: ā! Tai mei le! “Xiānggélǐlā”，zhēn shì yīgē mělì dòng tīng de míngzi。Wǒ jīn
nían jìu qù!

Liuhua: Hi, Emmy, what are you reading? You are so engrossed in the book.
Emmy: I’m reading the novel, The Lost Horizon, which was written by James. Hilton. Liuhua: Wa! The Lost Horizon, Shangri-la, is called Chinese Eden. She not only belongs
to China but to the world.
Emmy: Right! But how can you know this? Liuhua: I’ve ever been there. Do you want to? Emmy: Very much! Take me there now, please! Liuhua: Ok, let’s go there with our talk. Emmy: That’s nice! Start!
Liuhua: In Shangri-la, there lies the mysterious gorge, pyramid -like snow mountain, the
blue lake, and the broad grassland. The Lama Temple, Nunnery, Taoist temple, Mosque and Catholic church are over there. Human and nature co-exist there harmoniously, generation by generation.
Emmy: Great! That’s really fascinating! So, when is the best time to go there?
Liuhua: Shangri-la is in its most beautiful time in June and July, just like young girls are
