The crabs are here to lay their eggs. That’s what the knots are after. Most eggs are buried out of reach, but some are accidentally dug up by other crabs. The bird was saying the same numbers. Mrs Smith asked, “Is it saying a telephone number?” They wrote the number down and dialed the number on the phone. They soon got through and a woman answered the phone. They asked if she had lost her bird. The woman said “yes” and that she was looking for the bird. She had taught the bird to say the phone number before. The woman came to Mr and Mrs Smith’s home an hour later. The bird looked very excited when the woman showed up at Mr Smith’s home. It was her bird. And the woman was its owner. She thanked Mr and Mrs Smith very much. Then she took her lovely bird home. Summary:
Mr and Mrs Smith found an injured parrot when they were walking by the lake. The bird was saying some numbers. Mr and Mrs Smith took it home and the parrot kept saying the same numbers. They guessed it was saying a phone number. So they called the number and got through. They asked the woman on the other end if she had lost her bird. The woman said “yes”. An hour later, the woman came to their home. The bird was very happy to see her. It was really her bird. The woman thanked the couple and went home with the bird.
