语法填空 (2010年广东卷)

首先,分析句子结构确定填哪类词。然后,根据句子的意思和两句间的逻辑关系确定具体填什么词

确定填哪类词的具体方法有:

※思路①:缺主语或宾语,很可能是填代词(因为一般不会要求考生填名词)。

[例1] He asked his teacher, “ Sir, the water was awful. Why did you pretend to like ___38__?” (2010广东)

思路②:名词(有时名词前有形容词修饰)前是空格,很可能是填冠词或some, any, other, another, either, neither, both, less, more, little, few, many, much等。 [例2]A young man, while traveling through a desert, came across a spring of clear water. 31 water was sweet. (2010广东)

思路③:名词或代词前面是空格,而该名词或代词在句中不作主语、表语、宾语时,很可能是填介词。

※思路④ :若两句之间没有连词,也没有分号或句号,一定是填连接词。如when, after, before, since, until, if, because, so, but, while, although, unless等。

※思路⑤ :确定为定语从句后,先看先行词是人、物、时间、地点等,再判断引导词在从句中的成分,最后填入合适的关键词。

※思路⑦:当考查名词性从句(主语从句、宾语从句、表语从句、同位语从句),主要分析从句是否缺主语、宾语、表语,以及句子意思是否完整,从而决定关系词。

(2)词类转换题。

根据该词在句中所作句子成分来确定用哪种形式。具体方法有: ※思路①:修饰动词、形容词或副词作状语,用副词形式。

[例9] His teacher took a deep drink, smiled 34 (warm), and thanked his student very much for the sweet water. (2010年广东)

※思路②:有可能是词义转换题,词类不用变,主要是考查具有与词根意义相反的派生词,或者形容词的比较级、最高级等,需根据句子意思及前后逻辑关系,在词根前加un-, im-等,在词根后加-less, -er, -est等。

[例10] The water was simply the container for an act of kindness and love. Nothing could be 39 (sweet).\

※思路③:作表语、定语或补语,通常用形容词形式。

[例11] This proverb is saying we have to let things go in their 39 (nature) course. (2008年广东)

※思路④:在冠词、形容词性物主代词后,或者“冠词+形容词”后,用名词形式。 [例12] On his 31 (arrive), he parked his bike outside the back door as usual. (2010年深圳二模)

3)给了动词的题。

首先,要确定是谓语动词还是非谓语动词。

若句中没有别的谓语动词,所给动词就是谓语动词。若是谓语动词,就要考虑时态和语态。 [例13] After a four-day journey, the young man 33 (present) the water to the old man. His teacher took a deep drink, smiled warmly, and thanked ... (2010广东)

若句中已有谓语动词,又不是并列谓语时,所给动词就是非谓语动词。若是非谓语动词就要确定用-ing形式、-ed形式,还是用不定式。

※思路①:作主语或宾语,通常用—ing形式表示习惯或一般情况,用不定式表示具体的情况。

[例14]I hated ________ (wait) for her for hours without _______(know) when on earth she would come.

※思路②:作目的状语、结果状语、形容词后的状语,一般用不定式。

[例15] She wished that he was as easy 32 (please) as her mother, who was always delighted with perfume.

[例16] For example, the proverb, “plucking(拔) up a crop 32 (help) it grow”, is based on the following story. (2008广东)

※思路③:若判断用分词,与逻辑主语是主动关系用—ing形式,是被动关系用—ed形式。 [例17] The computer _______(use) for this purpose is programmed to be friendly.
