2.2.3 Different Educational Methods
In America, the educational methods concentrate on training students the ability of working with partners and practicing independence when they express own opinions before the public. The teacher asks a question to all students, who can have various answers. As long as you have a convictive reason, you can express your unique opinion. This scene often occurs in the college. The teacher is not the authority. In the elementary school, teachers are used to adopting lively and interesting methods to cultivate students’ interests and imagination. For example, the teacher asks students what the figure of dinosaur they think is. Students will be given enough time to draw the figures. Then the teacher praises everyone for his or her imaginative work.
In China, the teacher is theinstructor and students are listeners. Knowledge in textbooks is taught to students. Teachers generously give students instruction in each lesson step by step. With the knowledge accumulation, students have a thorough grounding.
2.3 Different Social Educational View
Social education means there are all kinds of social activities that can broad people’s horizon and be good at physical and mental health. The views on social education are different in China and America.
Moral education is advocated in Chinese society. Look after parents. Take care of public facilities. Give your seat to anyone in need. The ways to educate people are

America, science and technology are the key points in social education. Companies cooperate with colleges in order to build broad platform for people in the society. Lots of mission schools are popular in America.

3.1 Cultural Background and History
China is a country with 5000-year history. It went through almost all forms of social changes. Every change cannot occur without wars. Destroyed by wars, it’s hard to make a living for people. After experiencing lots of suffers, people are aware of the importance of peace. In modern society, we care more about the unity and sense of collective honor, because the way that people pursue the interest of individuals too much can bring the separation of community. Chinese educational view is cultivating builder and successor of socialism, which is related to its history.
American history can date back to 1620. Their ancestors traveled far away to this land to escape persecution and oppression. Then a large number of immigrants came to the North American Continent. Nowadays, America is the biggestnation of immigrants.People from different places want to gain the equal rights in America, so the idea of equal freedom of all individuals comes into being. This is the reason why American educational view aims to advocate individualism.(Zhang 46)
Education is a kind of culture. Different cultures form different education. Laughton once said, “Education is a choice of a social culture.” (Denis Lawon 6) Chinese culture is based on Confucianism which advocates simplicity, harmony,

moderation, symmetry and balance. Influenced by these thoughts, students get used to 客户
keeping a conservative attitude towards knowledge and seldom giving their unique opinions.American culture is built on marine culture of the ancient Greek tradition and emphasizes individual characteristics and freedom.Its way of thinking is Aristotle's logical thinking and analytical thinking. This is a reason why students in America are unconventional and happy to express their own ideas. (Ren 110)
3.2 Population
China’s population is about 1.3 billion, and America has 0.3 billion people. Huge population disparity is also the reason for different educational view. Large quantities of students in China are waiting for being educated. On the one hand, because educational levels all over the country are uneven, the best educational way for every student is basic education. Using the same textbooks accomplishes the same educational aims.On the other hand, it’s hard for the country to afford so much cost in high-tech education. In America, a small number of the population gives students more opportunities to show themselves. In elementary school, there are only 20 students and a teacher in a class.
3.3 Politics
America is the biggest immigration country and carrys out multi-party system.Immigrants come from different country. Defending their rights and avoiding
