1) Look at the pictures:

A: Talk something about the pictures. B: What is Qiaoqiao good at?

2) Listen to the tape Q: What are they doing?

2. Studying

1) Learn the new words: without/delicious/salt/join

2) Learn the dialogue: What are you doing? We’re practicing for the talent show.

b. Without ... , we can’t ... . 3. Work in pairs

1) Practice the dialogue. What are you doing? We are practicing for the talent show.

Without a pianist, we can’t make a band. 2) Ask students to act out the dialogue.

3) Practice the sentence: Without ... , we can’t ... . 4. Acting A: Hello, Lily. B: Hello, Jack.

A: The talent show is coming soon. What will you do ?

B: I’m good at playing the violin. You are good at playing the piano .How about making a band? A: Good idea!

B: We need a singer .Who is the best singer? A: Jim sings the best. Let’s ask him for help. B: Ok. Let’s go! Step Ⅱ. 1. Listening

Q: A: Listen and learn some more .

Ask student to say out something that they heard. B: Listen and number the picture.
