T:Greet the students as usual. Step 2 New words
Show some pictures of the new words on the screen. Ask students to try to read these words:bike, train, subway, car, ship, boat, bus, airplane
Step 3 Practice
Show the picture of 1a on the screen and get the students to match the words with the pictures.
Step 4 Listening
Ask students to look at the picture in their books. Ask them some questions about the picture:
What can you see in the picture? How many people are there in the picture? What are they doing?
Step 7 Listening
2a Play the tape for the students to listen and repeat and then write down the numbers they hear on their books.
Step 8 Listening
2b Play the tape for the students to listen and complete the chart. Play at least twice. And then ask some students to write down their answers on the blackboard.
Step 9 Homework
Write down the dialogue of step 8 or step 9.
