一般疑问句和特殊疑问句
一、 一般疑问句：
1、 定义：由Am、Is、Are、Do、Does、Can、May、（Will、Shall、Must、Could、Might、 Would、Should、
Was、Were、Did）等放在句首引导的问句叫一般疑问句。一般疑问句通常表示疑问或建议或请求。表示疑问的通常翻译成“……吗？”, 表示建议或请求的通常翻译成“……好/行吗？”，读时一般应用升调。一般疑问句通常要用Yes或No回答。但有时例外，如用Sure或No Problem等代替Yes，用Sorry代替No。 2、 典型例句：（1）---Am I tall？---Yes，you are . / No, you aren’t. (2)---Is John from the USA ？---Yes, he is. / No, he isn’t. (3)---Are you Chen Jie? ---Yes, I am. / No, I’m not .（4）---Are you good friends? ---Yes, we are. / No, we aren’t. (5)---Are these tomatoes? ---Yes, they are. / No, they aren’t. (6)---Do you like sports? –Yes, I do. / No, I don’t. (7)---Does he like Chinese? ---Yes, he does. / No, he doesn’t.(8)---Can you speak English? ---Yes, I can. / No, I can’t. (9)---Can I wear my new shirt today? ----Yes, you can. /No, you can’t. (10) ---May I have a look? ---Sure, Here you are. / Sorry, you can’t. (11) ---Can I use your pencil? ---No problem. / Sure, Here you are.（12）---Will it be sunny tomorrow? ---Yes, it will. / No, it won’t. (won’t=will not) (13)---Will you play basketball this afternoon? --- Yes, I will. / No, I won’t. (14)---Shall we go to the park? ---Great! /Good idea! /Sorry, I won’t. (15)---Is there a pen ，an eraser and any pencils in your pencil-case? ---Yes, there is. /No, there isn’t. (16)---Are there any apples on the tree? ---Yes, there are. /No, there aren’t. (17)--- Are you going to play basketball this afternoon? --- Yes, I am. / No, I’m not. (18)---Would you like some tomatoes and potatoes? ---Yes, I’d like to. （或Yes, I’d love to.）/ No, thanks(或No, thank you.) (19) 服务场合服务员、营业员打招呼用语：--Can I help you?(=What can I do for you?)— Yes, please. I want a pair of sneakers. (或Thanks. I just have a look.)
3、 注（1）： 一般疑问句的省略回答公式为（不含There be句型）：肯定：Yes, 主格人称代词+be(am/is/are等)
或情态动词(can/may等)或助动词(do/does等). 否定：No, 主格人称代词+be(am/is/are)或情态动词或助动词+not. 注（2）：回答中要用主格人称代词代替问句中的名词。主格人称代词有：I（我） , you（你，你们）, he（他）, she（她）, it（它）, we（我们） , they（他/她/它们）这些词。注（3）：省略回答中一般都带有一般疑问句的引导词（be动词、情态动词或助动词）
4、 There be句型一般疑问句的省略回答公式为：Yes, there + be(is/are等). / No, there+ be(is/are等)+ not.( There
be句型中be动词不含am)如：---Is there an orange cat near the door? Yes, there is. / No, there isn’t. 5、 省略回答中，Yes +肯定内容， No+否定内容。如我们可说Yes, I can. No, I can’t. 但却不可说 Yes, I can’t. No,
I can. 其它类型的类推。
6、 一般疑问句的肯定省略回答中，如果am, is, are, do, does, can等放在句尾，其后没有其它词时，它们不能用
缩写形式，如果还有其它词时，则能用缩写。否定的省略回答则能用缩写（当然也可用完全形式）。如：---Are you Miss Lin?---Yes, I am.（不可缩写） / No, I’m not.（可缩写）或No, I am not.（完全形式）
如---Can you play football? ---Yes, I can. （不可缩写）/ No, I can’t. （可缩写）或No, I can not. （完全形式）
如There be句型：---Are there any kooks on the teacher’ desk?---Yes, there are.（不可缩写） / No, there aren’t.（可缩写）或No, there’re not（可缩写）.或 No, there are not.（完全形式）
7、 肯定句中若有am ,is are, can, may, 在变为否定句时，只在am ,is are, can, may的后面加上not即可；在变为
一般疑问句时，只把am ,is are, can, may提到句首大写，句尾句号变问号即可。
如: They are black and white.(肯定句) They are not black and white.（否定句） Are they black and white?（一般疑问句）
再如: I can play computer games.（肯定句） I can not play computer games.（否定句） Can you play computer games?（一般疑问句）
8、 特殊疑问句:
1、定义：由特殊疑问词放在句首引导的问句叫特殊疑问句。特殊疑问句读时一般应用降调。特殊疑问句的回答只能是问什么答什么，不能用Yes或No回答。
2、常见特殊疑问词：
1、What（什么）（对物体或事情内容提问） 例---What’s your name ?----My name is Zhang Peng. ---What’s in your pencil-case? ---There is a pen, a ruler and an eraser. ---What do you have for breakfast? ---I have an egg, some bread and milk. 2、What size(多大号码/尺寸)（对衣服、鞋子等的号码或尺寸提问） --What size shoes do you wear?---Size 7. 3、What class（哪班）（对班级提问）---What class are you in? ---I’m in Class Two ,Grade(年级) Five . Sunday. ---They’re blue. 6、What time (什么时间) （只对点时刻时间提问） ---What time is it? (=What’s the time?) ----It’s eight o’clock. every day. 7、When(什么时候)（对所有时间提问） ----When will you go to the park? ---I’ll go to the park tomorrow. ----When is your birthday? ----It’s tomorrow. 或回答--It’s January 16th（一月十六日）. 8、Who（谁）（对人提问） ----Who is the young man over there(在那边)? ----He is my brother. 9、Whose（谁的）（对所属关系提问） ---Whose book is that? (=Whose is that book?) ---It’s Zhang Peng’s. ---Whose bag is that? (=Whose is that bag?) ---It’s my bag. ---Whose bags are those? (=Whose are those bags?)---They’re our bags.
三、注意几个特别的的问句：
1、服务场合服务员、营业员打招呼用语：--Can I help you?(=What can I do for you?)— Yes, please. I want a pair of sneakers. (或Thanks. I just have a look.)
2、询问想要什么：---What would you like for lunch?---I’d like potatoes and rice. (=What do you want/have for lunch? ---I want/have potatoes and rice.)
2、询问长相或性格：---What’s your science teacher like?—She is tall and thin.或She is pretty and kind. 3、询问天气：--What’s the weather like today?---It’s sunny and hot. 4、询问星期几：--What day is it today?---It’s Sunday.
4、询问几月几日：---What’s the date（日期）tomorrow?---It’s October 3, 2011. (2011年10月3日). 5、询问……怎么样? (承前省略)：---What / How about …? （=And you ?）---（承前回答）
