英语学习的十条黄金法则
No.1 Diligence and Perseverance
The basic reason why most people cannot learn English well is laziness or half-hearted job.
勤奋和坚持。大多数人学不好英语根本的原因是懒惰和三天打鱼两天晒网。
No.2 Regard English as a sound rather than a character
English is a sound above all; character is no more than specimen of sound. Therefore, a huge amount of audio input and output is necessary. At early stage, use more ears and mouth than eyes. A child masters his mother language by listening and speaking. To set up a sound order among noise you cannot understand, open up your ears is the first step of learning language.
把英语当成一门声音而不是文字来学。英语首先是一门声音,文字不过是声音的标本而已。所以大量的声音输入和输出是必不可少的,早期要多运用耳朵和嘴巴,少用眼睛。一个儿童学会母语靠得就是听说,打通耳朵是其学习语言的第一步,它首先在它听不懂的噪音里建立声音秩序。
No.3 We suggest you should begin memorizing word lists since you begin learning words, so as to build up the ability of conditioned response to sound image of a certain English word. Besides, the spelling of English words has laws to follow in most situations. As long as you remember its sound, it will be easier to spell it and say it.
我们建议从学单词开始就听音背单词,建立起人对英语单词声音形象的条件反射能力。而且英语单词的拼写大多数是有规律的,你记住了它的声音,拼写也就简单了,你说也就能脱口而出了。
No.4 As for learning words, we suggest you start on a large scale but set grammar, sentence pattern and discourse aside. You may start those things after you have mastered more than 700 words. One recommended approach is dictation with repetitive cycle and various classifications. Learning words by sentences and paragraphs so that you have a solid grasp of new words.
对于单词学习,我们建议一开始就要大批量扩张,先把语法和句型、篇章放一边。等一个人有700个单词后再学句型、对话和篇章。单词学习要采用听音背单词、听写的办法,反复循环,多重分类,要通过句子篇章学单词,这样单词才是活的。
No.5 It will be disaster if you do not change language grammar into language sense. The breakthrough of grammar lies in the formation of
language sense. What’s more, the breakthrough of language sense lies in a great deal of recitation, speaking as well as reading. What also counts is memorization of grammar rules at early stage.
如果语法不变成语感的话,到用时一定无法无天。语法的突破一定要靠语感的形成,但语感的形成一定要靠大量的背诵和说、阅读的流量才能形成。但早期对语法规则的记忆也很重要。
No.6 Listening is the popular weakness for students. We believe it is more beneficial to get familiar with one piece instead of extensive reading. We suggest Dr.Zhong’s listening method: write every sentence after listening, repeat if cannot understand, check the original text at the end; which is an effective way to help you find the weakest link in listening
听力是无数学生的薄弱环节,我们认为泛听百篇不如听熟背诵一篇。我们建议大家采用钟道隆老师的听写法,听一句写一句,听不懂再反复,直到最后实在写不出再看原文,这样每次能击中你听力中最薄弱的环节,特别有效。
No.7 For discourse analysis, we believe nothing could compare with recitation. Recite after you have listened to standard pronunciation sentence by sentence with proficiency.
对于篇章的学习,我们认为没有比背诵法更好的了。先听标准音一句一句听得滚瓜烂熟,再背诵。
No.8 We think reading more bilingual books contributes to enlarge vocabulary and formation of language sense.
我们认为多阅读中英文对照的读物也对词汇量的提高、语感的形成很有帮助。
No.9 Do more English translation exercise is helpful. You can choose those Chinese sources with original English to translate.
对于提高写作水平,我们认为多做汉译英练习很有帮助。可以选用那些本身有英文原文的中文做翻译练习。
No.10 With all above well done, what you need to do is speaking more. Why not find a native English speaker?
以上做好后,说的能力只要多练习就可以了,多找英语是母语的人练习。
