Step 1 Warm-up 1. Greet the students as usual. 2. Ask one student to recite the dialogue. Step 2 Revision 1. Review the dialogues we learned last week. 2. Ask some pairs to act out the dialogues. Step 3 Presentation Learn the new dialogues. Dialogue 1 P: Is the toilet occupied? C: No, it is locked. P: Why? C: Because the train is approaching the station. Toilet on the train are not supposed to be used when it stops at stations. P: Oh, I see. How long will the train stop at this station? C: Eleven minutes. You have to wait for a while. Sorry for the inconvenience. P: I see. Thank you. C: You’re welcome. Learn professional words and expressions (1) bedside lamp (2) carpet (3) electric fan (4) toilet (5) air-condition (6) window of the car (7) door of the car (8) closed circuit TV system (9) night dim lamp (10) coach roof ventilator Step 4 Practise 1. Get the pupils into groups to practise the dialogue, one acts the conductor, the other acts the passenger, they can use some useful sentences learned before. 2. Ask the pupils to act out their dialogues. Step 5 Homework 1. Review the words and sentences of the dialogue. 2. Read the dialogue until recite.
