I might not come from a family of college graduates, but I will be the first to get my degree. I might not know those people in trouble, but I think I can help them, and I need to try. I’m not sure how we’ll reach that better place beyond the horizon, but I know we’ll get there. I know we will.‖
我们是一个会这样说话的民族：―我或许没有巨款，但是我有成立一家新公司的高见。我或许没有出生在一个拥有大学学历的家庭，但我将会成为这个家庭里第一个获得大学学历的人。我或许并不认识那些处于困境中的人们，但我认为我能够帮助他们，而且我需要试一试。虽然我不确定我们将如何超越地平线到达更好的地方，但我知道我们将会到达那里。我知道我们能够做到。‖

The idea of America endures. Our destiny remains our choice. And tonight, more than two centuries later, it is because of our people that our future is hopeful, our journey goes forward, and the state of our union is strong.
美国的理念经久不衰。我们的命运依然取决于我们的选择。今晚，在两个多世纪之后，正因为有了我们的人民，我们的未来才充满希望，我们的征程才一路向前，我们的国家才强大繁盛。
