[abstract] from the angle of thesis writing and linking with the practical conditions, this paper introduces and discusses minutely each step of writing a thesis, problems needed to be noticed and relative strategies to deal with in writing a thesis. on the whole, it concludes the main points in relation to thesis writing, introduces the content of writing and discusses the way of writing and noticeable points in the process of writing a thesis. through the discussion of this paper, the author’s intention is to expound upon the writing of a thesis for undergraduate english majors, illustrate the writing process and establish the basis of thesis writing for undergraduate english majors.
